All the Bright Place

All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven, it’s about Violent Markey and Theodore Finch. They meet on the bell tower at school one day and no one knows who saved who. They’re partnered together for a school project by chance to discover the wonders of their state, it leads to them exploring together and it leads to them growing close to each other and learning more about the other. With each other, they’re allowed to be themselves but soon their story takes a distressing turn. This book was actually a birthday gift from a friend and I was a little hesitant to read it at the time because some books I’m not interested in and no one else really buys me books. But, it turned out to be a great birthday gift.

I actually really liked this book. As I mentioned before, I was a little hesitant to be reading a book that I hadn’t bought for myself but, it turns out my friend knew me well. It was honestly a great book. I don’t read that much young adult books but this one was great and it’s honestly a book that I read again. I remembered I was enraptured by the book as soon as I started and it was one of those reads where you never want to put it down and you’re reading it in all of the free chances that you get. So, I would get like two minutes in class and I would have the book out and I’d be reading as much as I could in those two minutes.

I would definitely recommend this book. Jennifer Niven’s writing and stories are similar to John Green’s in a way so if you like John Green, I suggest that you at least like read a synopsis or like get a sample of it. It’s also similar to Thirteen Reasons Why or Girl in Pieces, so if you liked any of those books or read any of them, you should give this book a chance.

Happy Reading!
