Homemade Bookies is a book review website run by two high school seniors who love to read. Our names are Maddy and Tristin, and we decided that we needed a way to further our love for reading and get more CAS hours for our IB diplomas. When developing ideas about what creative adventures we could take during our last year in high school, we stumbled upon the idea of creating a website where we could share our love and passion for reading, write reviews, give tips, and share our favorite reads. We’re interested in hearing what others think of books we’ve read and aim for real discussions about mainstream and little-known books. To keep ourselves in check and our blog active, we’ll both be posting weekly, Maddy will be posting on Monday’s and Tristin on Friday’s. For our first week, we’ll be discussing The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini and Circe by Madeline Miller. Our main goal for this website is to review books on a casual level. We solely want to discuss what we enjoyed about certain stories and in no way is this website meant to degrade or diminish other opinions or the author's choices. If you ever want to talk with us about books or recommend one, feel free to email us at homemadebookies@gmail.com or direct message @homemadebookies on Twitter or Instagram.
